In my actual Art work as a painter , I am exploring with movement and rhythm, so this dancers are of great inspiration for my paintings. I am planing to do a complete series of paintings and drawings about figures in movement , so they will be at the same time an homage to the Butoh dance discipline.
BUTOH means "The dance toward darkness". It was created as a dance by the Japanese dancer Tatsumi Hijikata and was inspired by the victims of the atomic explosions at Hiroshima and Nagasashi. Those victims, were seing crawling into the dark, like wounded animals, with their bodies burn and their ayes hanging outside they sockets on the surface of their faces.
